So apparently many of you think that hackers are gettin' off way too easily. How's about guidelines? Of course, misguided bans and accidental bans (however rare) will not be included in this for obvious reasons.
Guideline format
[Ban type]: General bans, hack-related bans.
Cause: General description of the cause of the ban.
Standard operating procedure (SOP): a set of procedures to perform a given operation or evolution or in reaction to a given event (i.e. a ban). Will determine steps needed per ban and per unban.
General bans.
Cause: Scamming, incessant megaphones, general misconduct
Standard operating procedure:
I. Initial ban
1. Deliberation and discussion with staff if necessary concerning the appellate's ban circumstances.
2. Straight-forward plan of action, it's either an unban with a warning, or a settled permanent ban.
II. Second ban
1. Deliberation and discussion with staff if necessary concerning the appellate's ban circumstances.
2. If the circumstances convict the individual, said individual remains banned.
III. Third ban
1. Deliberation and discussion with staff if necessary concerning the appellate's ban circumstances.
2. If the circumstances convict the individual, said individual remains banned.
IV. Fourth ban.
1. No deliberation necessary. Permanent ban.
Hack-related bans.
